Publication rule: a measurement is shown only if a primary source gives it (a manufacturer's document, an official vehicle type record, an original parts catalogue, the maker of the original wheel) without another primary source contradicting it, or if two independent specialist sources agree without a primary source contradicting them. The press and forums do not count. Measurements checked on 15 October 2026 by the Onyx Forged design office.

X5 M F85: 5x120, but a wider hub
The BMW X5 M F85, dated from 2015 to 2018 by SCC (koleso.ee dates it from 2014 to 2019), is 5x120, on a 74.1 mm hub: two independent specialist sources, SCC and koleso.ee, give this, each cited in the table. Its PCD (bolt pattern) is that of the other M cars in the 5x120 family, but its centre bore is not: a wheel machined for an M5 or an M3 does not centre on this hub. The wheel bolts are M14 x 1.25 with a conical seat, according to the listing of a genuine BMW parts retailer that names the X5 M F85 and according to SCC, and they are tightened to 140 Nm according to SCC and koleso.ee.
20 or 21 inches, with a much wider rear
The BMW M sheet of February 2015 gives two summer fitments. In 20 inches: 10J x 20 with an offset (IS) of 40 at the front, on 285/40 R20, and 11.5J x 20 with an offset of 38 at the rear, on 325/35 R20. In 21 inches: 10J x 21 with an offset of 40 at the front, on 285/35 R21, and 11.5J x 21 with an offset of 38 at the rear, on 325/30 R21. The two axles share neither the width nor the tyre: a front wheel never goes on the rear.
A sheet shared with the X6 M
BMW M publishes a single sheet for the X5 M and the X6 M (F86), with the same fitments. The two cars have the same centre bore and the same PCD according to the databases we read, but each has its own page here, with its sources.
What we record before machining
- The current fitment, 20 or 21 inches, and the braking system, on which the smallest possible diameter depends.
- The load per wheel, which matters on an SUV of this weight, with 325 rear tyres.
