M2 F87: 5x120, not 5x112
The BMW M2 F87 is 5x120, on a 72.6 mm hub, with M14 x 1.25 wheel bolts with a conical seat: three independent specialist sources give the PCD (bolt pattern) and the centre bore, each cited in the table, and the conical seat is confirmed by the listing of a dealer in genuine BMW parts. The M2 G87 that succeeded it is 5x112: an F87 set does not fit a G87, and no spigot ring can make up eight millimetres of PCD.
The original fitment, axle by axle
The BMW M sheets of possible wheel and tyre combinations give, for summer, 9J x 19 with 245/35 ZR19 at the front with an offset (IS) of 29, and 10J x 19 with 265/35 ZR19 at the rear with an offset of 40. The two axles therefore share neither the width nor the offset, and a front wheel never goes on the rear.
What we record before machining
- The version and the braking system of your car: the BMW M sheets we read name only the M2 Coupé, neither the Competition nor the CS, and the smallest possible diameter depends on the braking system.
- The summer and winter fitments: the BMW M sheets list winter fitments that differ from the summer fitment shown here, and we do not mix them.
- The bolts: M14 x 1.25 wheel bolts with a conical seat, whose length changes if you run spacers.
Tightening torque: check it in your manual
The specialist databases do not quite agree on the bolt torque: wheelfitment.eu, wheel-sizes.com and koleso.ee give 140 Nm, SCC gives 130. We publish 140 Nm, the value given by two groups of sources against one, and we invite you to keep to the one in your car's manual.
