What are the original offsets for the wheels of a Ford Mustang S650?
The official Ford UK shop sells, for Mustangs from October 2023, the standard wheels of the GT: 9J x 19 with an offset of 45 at the front and 9.5J x 19 with an offset of 52.5 mm at the rear. Those of the Dark Horse are 9.5J x 19 with an offset of 40 at the front and 10J x 19 with an offset of 52.5 mm at the rear, like the kit in the Ford Performance Parts catalogue, “Originally from Dark Horse”. Ford gives the rear offset to the tenth of a millimetre: the fitment table shows it as it is, without rounding it. [5, 8, 9, 11, 13]
Which tyres does a Ford Mustang S650 take?
255/40 R19 at the front and 275/40 R19 at the rear, on both the GT and the Dark Horse, according to Ford's owner's manual; the Ford UK shop gives the same tyres for the GT's wheels. For the front wheel of the Dark Horse, it gives 275/40 R19: as the two Ford documents do not agree, the cell for the Dark Horse's front tyre stays empty. [4, 5, 8, 11]
What PCD, centre bore and nuts does a Ford Mustang S650 use?
The PCD is 5x114.3 and the centre bore 70.5 mm, according to wheelfitment.eu, koleso.ee and hubcentric-rings.com. Ford's owner's manual gives M14 x 1.5 wheel nuts tightened to 204 Nm, a value these three databases also give. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Which brakes does a Ford Mustang S650 have?
Ford states, for both the GT and the Dark Horse, 390 x 36 mm ventilated front discs gripped by fixed six-piston Brembo calipers, and 355 x 28 mm rear discs. The standard wheels are all 19-inch; this braking system sets the smallest possible wheel diameter. [6]

Mustang S650: 5x114.3, a 70.5 mm hub, M14 x 1.5 nuts
The seventh-generation Ford Mustang, the S650, announced by Ford of Europe for early 2024, in GT 5.0 V8 (Fastback and convertible) and Dark Horse (Fastback) form, is 5x114.3 on a 70.5 mm hub: wheelfitment.eu, koleso.ee and hubcentric-rings.com give these measurements, each cited in the table. Ford's owner's manual names the wheel nuts, M14 x 1.5, and their tightening torque, 204 Nm.
19-inch wheels, wider at the rear
The standard wheels of the S650 are all 19-inch, in a staggered fitment. The official Ford UK shop sells, for Mustangs from October 2023, those of the GT: 9J x 19 with an offset of 45 at the front, with 255/40 R19 tyres, and 9.5J x 19 with an offset of 52.5 mm at the rear, with 275/40 R19 tyres. The Dark Horse has wider wheels, 9.5J x 19 with an offset of 40 at the front and 10J x 19 with an offset of 52.5 mm at the rear, like the kit listed in the Ford Performance Parts catalogue as “Originally from Dark Horse”. Ford gives the rear offset to the tenth of a millimetre. The fitment table shows it as it is, to the tenth, without rounding it, as do this text and the FAQ. For the front wheel of the Dark Horse, Ford's manual gives a 255/40 R19 tyre and the Ford UK shop a 275/40 R19: as the two do not agree, the cell for this tyre stays empty.
Brakes: 390 mm discs at the front
Ford states, for both the GT and the Dark Horse, 390 x 36 mm ventilated front discs gripped by fixed six-piston Brembo calipers, and 355 x 28 mm rear discs. This braking system sets the smallest possible wheel diameter: the wheels and brakes (page in French) guide explains why.
What these measurements say about a forged wheel
The offset positions the wheel in the wheel arch: a wider wheel, or a lower offset, brings it closer to the wing. Roadworthiness test: what is examined
The French roadworthiness test (contrôle technique) examines the wheel without removing it (cracks, deformation, a wheel that protrudes beyond the bodywork) and verifies that the tyre size is one provided for by the manufacturer or accepted as equivalent. Keeping a tyre size from the original fitment, and at least its load index, avoids having to justify it; the details are on the roadworthiness test and registration page.
