Frequently asked questions: wheels for the Hyundai i30 N (PDe)

What are the original offsets for the wheels of a Hyundai i30 N?

According to the Swiss vehicle type records: 7.5J x 18 with an offset of 53 on the 184 kW i30 N, and 8J x 19 with an offset of 55 on the 202 and 206 kW cars, on both axles. The 202 kW (from 2019) and 206 kW versions also take the 18-inch wheel with winter tyres. [5, 7, 9, 10]

Which tyres, and which load index, does a Hyundai i30 N take?

225/40 ZR18 with load index 92, i.e. 630 kg per tyre, on the 18-inch wheel, and 235/35 R19 with load index 91, i.e. 615 kg, on the 19-inch wheel: these are the combinations in the Swiss vehicle type records, and Hyundai's owner's manual gives the same sizes. [5, 6, 7, 12]

What is the load per wheel on a Hyundai i30 N?

Its Swiss vehicle type records give it a permissible load of 1,090 kg on the front axle, i.e. 545 kg per front wheel, and 980 kg on the rear axle. The 235/35 R19 tyre with load index 91 carries 615 kg. [7, 10, 12]

What PCD (bolt pattern), centre bore and nuts does a Hyundai i30 N use?

The PCD is 5x114.3, the centre bore 67.1 mm, and the wheels are held by M12 x 1.5 nuts: the German operating permits (Allgemeine Betriebserlaubnis) for OZ and DBV wheels, which name the i30 N, and SCC give these measurements. Hyundai gives a tightening torque of 11 to 13 kgf·m, i.e. 107 to 127 N·m. [1, 3, 4, 6]

Same fixing measurements

As original equipment, these cars have the same PCD, centre bore, thread and fixing as the Hyundai i30 N (PDe): PCD 5x114.3, centre bore 67.1 mm, thread M12 x 1.5, fixing: wheel nuts.

Same fixing measurements; original diameters and offsets: see each car's page. The seat of the bolts or nuts, the width of the wheels and brake clearance are not compared here: this comparison is not an opinion on compatibility.

Publication rule: a measurement is shown only if a primary source gives it (a manufacturer's document, an official vehicle type record, an original parts catalogue, the maker of the original wheel) without another primary source contradicting it, or if two independent specialist sources agree without a primary source contradicting them. The press and forums do not count. Measurements checked on 20 October 2026 by the Onyx Forged design office.

Custom forged wheels for the Hyundai i30 N (PDe)

  • Forged 6061-T6 aluminium
  • 5-axis CNC machining
  • Designed to JWL/VIA standards
  • Fitment worked out for your Hyundai i30 N (PDe)

i30 N: 5x114.3, a 67.1 mm hub, M12 x 1.5 nuts

The Hyundai i30 N (PDe generation), produced from 2017 to 2024 as a 5-door and a Fastback, uses 5x114.3 on a 67.1 mm hub, with M12 x 1.5 wheel nuts: the German operating permits (Allgemeine Betriebserlaubnis) for OZ and DBV wheels, which name the i30 N, and SCC give these measurements. For the nuts, Hyundai gives a tightening torque of 11 to 13 kgf·m, i.e. 107 to 127 N·m.

Two fitments, depending on power

The Swiss vehicle type records permit, on both axles, a 7.5J x 18 wheel with an offset of 53 and 225/40 ZR18 tyres on the 184 kW i30 N, and an 8J x 19 wheel with an offset of 55 and 235/35 R19 tyres on the 202 and 206 kW cars, in 5-door as well as Fastback form. Hyundai's owner's manual gives the same sizes. From 2019, the 18-inch wheel is also permitted on the 202 and 206 kW versions, with winter tyres.

What these measurements say about a forged wheel

The offset positions the wheel in the wheel arch: a wider wheel, or a lower offset, brings it closer to the wing. The Onyx Forged design office starts from the measurements on this page, your brakes and your tyres to calculate the width and offset of your wheels, then submits them to you. The offset calculator compares two fitments: it compares, it does not choose the measurement for you.

What we record before machining

Configure your forged wheels for the Hyundai i30 N

The Onyx Forged design office works out the measurements of your car from its exact version, stated on the registration document, and shows them to you before machining. Each set is cut from forged 6061-T6 aluminium, machined on a 5-axis CNC centre, as monoblock, two-piece or three-piece wheels; our wheels are designed to JWL/VIA standards. Prices by diameter and the lead time are given on this page, under “What Onyx can make”. Start your configuration or write to contact@onyxforgedwheels.com.
