Custom forged wheels for Lamborghini Aventador
A carbon-fibre monocoque, a naturally aspirated 6.5 V12, pushrod suspension with inboard-mounted dampers: the Aventador is an engineers' car, and its wheels are part of the calculation. Onyx Forged has new ones forged from 6061-T6 aluminium, respecting its original staggered fitment and its fixing method, for a set that extends its design without betraying it. Monoblock, two-piece or three-piece depending on the barrel depth you are after.
Lamborghini Aventador: original wheels, brakes and weight
The figures below come from Lamborghini's documents and from the sources listed below, read on 20 October 2026. They are the standard measurements of the versions named, not a recommendation: before any design, we work out the measurements of your car.

An architecture with no equivalent
The Aventador is built around a carbon-fibre monocoque, with pushrod suspension whose dampers are mounted horizontally, inboard: a solution taken from motorsport, and rare on a road car. In the middle sits a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12, the last of its line, paired on the early versions with the single-clutch ISR automated gearbox, whose deliberate brutality is part of how it is remembered. The S and later versions add rear-wheel steering. A car like this is not fitted out from a catalogue.
What forging brings to a chassis that is already light
The weight-saving argument is subtler here than on an SUV: the body is light, the suspension geometry is sound, and what forging improves is not a flaw but a margin. A lighter wheel reduces rotational inertia and the load the damper has to absorb over each irregularity; on a pushrod layout, this translates into a front axle that is easier to read at small steering angles and a body that is less unsettled on poor surfaces. High-pressure forging of 6061-T6 contributes by allowing thinner sections for the same stiffness, without the porosity inherent in casting.
A collector's car, a use of its own
An Aventador is driven little and spends much of its time stored: mileage is almost never the reason for a new set of wheels. What is: a set marked by a kerb, a finish that has aged under its lacquer, an original wheel that has become hard to find individually, or the wish to keep the original set intact and drive on a second set. A custom forged set answers each of these cases and keeps the car reversible: the original set can be refitted at any time, which matters when the value of an Aventador also lies in its original specification.
The points to record before designing
The Aventador runs a strongly staggered fitment, with the rear axle much wider than the front, and the two axles do not necessarily share the same diameter: these are two separate projects, not one wheel in two widths. The original measurements and the fixing method are established for your car according to its version and options: the fixing method, in particular, governs the whole design of the wheel centre. The carbon-ceramic braking system imposes its own caliper clearance. Finally, ground clearance is low: a few millimetres too much protrusion at the front are paid for at the first dropped kerb.
What custom work allows
Two-piece and three-piece wheels come into their own here: they allow a barrel depth and a wheel centre design that take up the Aventador's vocabulary (sharp edges, taut spokes) with a modern construction. Monoblock remains the choice for pure lightness. Finish, visible or hidden bolts: everything is decided with you. Our wheels are designed to JWL/VIA standards and 5-axis CNC machined. Price and lead time each have their own page: custom forged wheel prices and lead time.
