Frequently asked questions: wheels for the Aston Martin DBX AM8
What are the original offsets for the wheels of an Aston Martin DBX?
According to its Swiss vehicle type records: in 22 inches, 10J at the front and 11.5J at the rear, with an offset of 56 on both axles; in 23 inches, the same widths, with an offset of 56 at the front and 48 at the rear. The DBX and the DBX707 also take the 21-inch fitment, 9.5J with an offset of 56 at the front and 11J with an offset of 50.5 at the rear; the DBX S only has the 23-inch fitment, and the 22-inch fitment in winter. [9, 10, 13, 19]
Which tyres, and which load index, does an Aston Martin DBX take?
In 22 inches, 285/40 R22 with load index 110 at the front, i.e. 1060 kg per tyre, and 325/35 R22 with load index 114 at the rear, i.e. 1180 kg; in 23 inches, 285/35 R23 with index 107, i.e. 975 kg, and 325/30 R23 with index 109, i.e. 1030 kg; in 21 inches, 285/45 R21 with index 113 and 315/40 R21 with index 115, i.e. 1150 and 1215 kg. [10, 13, 22, 23]
What is the load per wheel on an Aston Martin DBX?
Its Swiss vehicle type records give it a permissible load of 1,390 kg on the front axle and 1,750 kg on the rear axle (1,755 kg on the first records), i.e. 695 and 875 kg per wheel: the rear carries the most. The 325/35 R22 rear tyre with load index 114 carries 1,180 kg, the 325/30 R23 one, with index 109, 1,030 kg. [9, 15, 22, 23]
What PCD, centre bore and bolts does an Aston Martin DBX use?
The PCD is 5x128, the centre bore 75.1 mm on both axles, and the wheels are held by M14 x 1.5 bolts. wheelfitment.eu, koleso.ee, tirewheelguide.com, SCC and ThreePiece.us give the PCD and the thread, koleso.ee, tirewheelguide.com and SCC the centre bore; wheelfitment.eu, koleso.ee, ThreePiece.us and BONOSS give the bolt. wheelfitment.eu gives a different centre bore on its rear-axle record: we adopt the one given by the three other databases. The tightening torque is not published: the two databases that give it do not agree. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8]
Same fixing measurements
As original equipment, these cars have the same PCD, centre bore, thread and fixing as the Aston Martin DBX AM8: PCD 5x128, centre bore 75.1 mm, thread M14 x 1.5, fixing: wheel bolts.
- Aston Martin DB11 AM5 (2016–2023)
- Aston Martin Vantage AM6 (2018–2024)
Same fixing measurements; original diameters and offsets: see each car's page. The seat of the bolts or nuts, the width of the wheels and brake clearance are not compared here: this comparison is not an opinion on compatibility.

Publication rule: a measurement is shown only if a primary source gives it (a manufacturer's document, an official vehicle type record, an original parts catalogue, the maker of the original wheel) without another primary source contradicting it, or if two independent specialist sources agree without a primary source contradicting them. The press and forums do not count. Measurements checked on 22 October 2026 by the Onyx Forged design office.
Aston Martin DBX: original wheels, brakes and weight
The figures below come from Aston Martin's documents and from the sources listed below, read on 20 October 2026. They are the standard measurements of the versions named, not a recommendation: before any design, we work out the measurements of your car.

DBX AM8: 5x128, M14 x 1.5 bolts, a 75.1 mm centre bore
The Aston Martin DBX, type AM8, whose first Swiss vehicle type record dates from August 2020, as the DBX, the DBX707 and the DBX S alike, uses 5x128, with M14 x 1.5 wheel bolts and a 75.1 mm centre bore on both axles: wheelfitment.eu, koleso.ee, tirewheelguide.com, SCC and ThreePiece.us give the PCD (bolt pattern) and the thread, koleso.ee, tirewheelguide.com and SCC the centre bore, wheelfitment.eu, koleso.ee, ThreePiece.us and BONOSS the bolt, each cited in the table. wheelfitment.eu gives a different centre bore on its rear-axle record: we adopt the one given by the three other databases. The tightening torque is not published: the two databases that give it do not agree.
21, 22 or 23 inches
The vehicle type record of the Swiss Federal Roads Office (ASTRA), the document that sets the tyre and wheel combinations a car may carry, permits for the DBX and the DBX707 three staggered fitments, wider at the rear: 10J x 22 and 11.5J x 22, with an offset of 56 on both axles, with 285/40 R22 and 325/35 R22 tyres; 10J x 23 with an offset of 56 at the front and 11.5J x 23 with an offset of 48 at the rear, with 285/35 R23 and 325/30 R23 tyres; 9.5J x 21 with an offset of 56 at the front and 11J x 21 at the rear, with 285/45 R21 and 315/40 R21 tyres. The rear offset of this last one is 50.5: the table column only accepts a whole number, so it stays empty, and nothing is rounded. The 534.7 kW DBX S only has the 23-inch fitment in summer; in winter, the DBX707 and the DBX S have the 22-inch fitment. The record writes the front wheel (“v=”) and the rear wheel (“h=”) of each combination on the same line: the table reproduces them as they are. The records name the model; the DBX has 405 kW, the DBX707 520 kW.
A heavy SUV: the rear carries the most
The records give a permissible load of 1,390 kg on the front axle and 1,750 kg on the rear axle (1,755 kg on the first records), i.e. 695 and 875 kg per wheel: the more heavily loaded axle takes the wider wheel. This is the load the wheel must carry, and the tyre must keep at least the load index of the original fitment, 114 for 325/35 R22 at the rear, 109 for 325/30 R23 (reading a tyre (page in French)); the guide heavy SUV wheels and load per wheel (page in French) details the calculation.
What these measurements say about a forged wheel
The offset positions the wheel in the wheel arch: a wider wheel, or a lower offset, brings it closer to the wing. The Onyx Forged design office starts from the measurements on this page, your brakes and your tyres to calculate the width and offset of your wheels, then submits them to you. The offset calculator compares two fitments: it compares, it does not choose the measurement for you.
Roadworthiness test: what is examined
The French roadworthiness test (contrôle technique) examines the wheel without removing it (cracks, deformation, a wheel that protrudes beyond the bodywork) and verifies that the tyre size is one provided for by the manufacturer or accepted as equivalent. Keeping a tyre size from the original fitment, and at least its load index, avoids having to justify it; the details are on the roadworthiness test and registration page.
What we record before machining
- The exact version, stated on the registration document, and the current diameter of your wheels.
- The braking system, on which the smallest possible diameter depends (wheels and brakes (page in French)).
- The current fitment, axle by axle, and the hub bore, 75.1 mm on both axles according to the databases.
Configure your forged wheels for the Aston Martin DBX (AM8)
The Onyx Forged design office works out the measurements of your car from its exact version, stated on the registration document, and shows them to you before machining. Each set is cut from forged 6061-T6 aluminium, machined on a 5-axis CNC centre, as monoblock, two-piece or three-piece wheels; our wheels are designed to JWL/VIA standards. Prices by diameter and the lead time are given on this page, under “What Onyx can make”. Start your configuration or write to contact@onyxforgedwheels.com.
