Frequently asked questions: wheels for the Aston Martin Vantage AM6
What are the original offsets for the wheels of a 2018 to 2024 Aston Martin Vantage?
On the V8, coupé or Roadster, AMR and F1 Edition included, a staggered fitment according to its Swiss vehicle type records: 9J with an offset of 48 at the front and 11J with an offset of 55 at the rear, in 20 and in 21 inches alike. The V12 Vantage has its own fitment, in 21 inches: 9.5J with an offset of 45 at the front and 11.5J with an offset of 44 at the rear. [10, 12, 18, 21]
Which tyres, and which load index, does a 2018 to 2024 Aston Martin Vantage take?
On the V8, 255/40 R20 with load index 101 at the front, i.e. 825 kg per tyre, and 295/35 R20 with load index 105 at the rear, i.e. 925 kg; in 21 inches, 255/35 R21 with index 98, i.e. 750 kg, and 295/30 R21 with index 102, i.e. 850 kg. On the V12 Vantage, 275/35 R21 with index 103, i.e. 875 kg, and 315/30 R21 with index 105. [10, 12, 21, 24]
What is the load per wheel on a 2018 to 2024 Aston Martin Vantage?
Its Swiss vehicle type records give the V8, coupé or Roadster, a permissible load of 985 kg on the front axle and 1,165 kg on the rear axle, i.e. 492.5 and 582.5 kg per wheel; the V12 Vantage, 1,040 and 1,090 kg, i.e. 520 and 545 kg per wheel. The 295/35 R20 rear tyre with load index 105 carries 925 kg. [10, 14, 21, 24]
What PCD, centre bore and bolts does a 2018 to 2024 Aston Martin Vantage use?
The PCD is 5x128, the centre bore 75.1 mm, and the wheels are held by M14 x 1.5 bolts tightened to 150 Nm. wheelfitment.eu, koleso.ee, tirewheelguide.com, ThreePiece.us and BONOSS give the PCD, the centre bore and the thread, SCC the PCD and the centre bore; Aston Martin's accessories brochure sells locking wheel bolts for the Vantage that replace one original bolt per wheel, and wheelfitment.eu and koleso.ee give the bolt and the torque. SCC and ThreePiece.us give a nut: we adopt the bolt, which Aston Martin names. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9]
Same fixing measurements
As original equipment, these cars have the same PCD, centre bore, thread and fixing as the Aston Martin Vantage AM6: PCD 5x128, centre bore 75.1 mm, thread M14 x 1.5, fixing: wheel bolts.
- Aston Martin DB11 AM5 (2016–2023)
- Aston Martin DBX AM8 (since 2020)
Same fixing measurements; original diameters and offsets: see each car's page. The seat of the bolts or nuts, the width of the wheels and brake clearance are not compared here: this comparison is not an opinion on compatibility.

Publication rule: a measurement is shown only if a primary source gives it (a manufacturer's document, an official vehicle type record, an original parts catalogue, the maker of the original wheel) without another primary source contradicting it, or if two independent specialist sources agree without a primary source contradicting them. The press and forums do not count. Measurements checked on 22 October 2026 by the Onyx Forged design office.

Vantage AM6: 5x128, M14 x 1.5 bolts, a 75.1 mm centre bore
The type AM6 Aston Martin Vantage, whose first Swiss vehicle type record dates from July 2018, as a V8, coupé or Roadster, AMR and F1 Edition included, like the V12 Vantage, uses 5x128, with a 75.1 mm centre bore and M14 x 1.5 wheel bolts tightened to 150 Nm: wheelfitment.eu, koleso.ee, tirewheelguide.com, ThreePiece.us and BONOSS give the PCD (bolt pattern), the centre bore and the thread, wheelfitment.eu and koleso.ee the torque, each cited in the table. The bolt is the one in Aston Martin's accessories brochure, whose locking wheel bolts for the Vantage replace one original bolt per wheel; wheelfitment.eu and koleso.ee give it too. SCC and ThreePiece.us give a nut: we adopt the bolt, which Aston Martin names.
20 or 21 inches on the V8, 21 inches on the V12
The vehicle type record of the Swiss Federal Roads Office (ASTRA), the document that sets the tyre and wheel combinations a car may carry, permits for the V8, coupé or Roadster, AMR included, a staggered fitment, wider at the rear: 9J x 20 with an offset of 48 at the front and 11J x 20 with an offset of 55 at the rear, with 255/40 R20 and 295/35 R20 tyres; since September 2020, the same widths and the same offsets in 21 inches, with 255/35 R21 and 295/30 R21 tyres. The 393.5 kW F1 Edition has the 21-inch fitment in summer and the 20-inch fitment in winter. These are the fitments of the DB11 AM5. The 514.8 kW V12 Vantage has its own fitment, in 21 inches: 9.5J x 21 with an offset of 45 at the front and 11.5J x 21 with an offset of 44 at the rear, with 275/35 R21 and 315/30 R21 tyres. The record writes the front wheel (“v=”) and the rear wheel (“h=”) of each combination on the same line: the table reproduces them as they are. The 2024 Vantage does not have its own page yet: the two databases that cover it give it a nut, which Aston Martin's brochure contradicts for the 2018 to 2024 car, on the same hub.
A front-mid-mounted engine: the rear carries the most
The records give the V8 a permissible load of 985 kg on the front axle and 1,165 kg on the rear axle, i.e. 492.5 and 582.5 kg per wheel, and the V12 Vantage 1,040 and 1,090 kg, i.e. 520 and 545 kg per wheel. This is the load the wheel must carry, and the tyre must keep at least the load index of the original fitment, 105 for 295/35 R20 at the rear of the V8, 105 for 315/30 R21 at the rear of the V12 (reading a tyre (page in French)).
What these measurements say about a forged wheel
The offset positions the wheel in the wheel arch: a wider wheel, or a lower offset, brings it closer to the wing. The Onyx Forged design office starts from the measurements on this page, your brakes and your tyres to calculate the width and offset of your wheels, then submits them to you. The offset calculator compares two fitments: it compares, it does not choose the measurement for you.
Roadworthiness test: what is examined
The French roadworthiness test (contrôle technique) examines the wheel without removing it (cracks, deformation, a wheel that protrudes beyond the bodywork) and verifies that the tyre size is one provided for by the manufacturer or accepted as equivalent. Keeping a tyre size from the original fitment, and at least its load index, avoids having to justify it; the details are on the roadworthiness test and registration page.
What we record before machining
- The exact version, stated on the registration document, and the current diameter of your wheels.
- The braking system, on which the smallest possible diameter depends (wheels and brakes (page in French)).
- The current fitment, axle by axle, and the hub bore, 75.1 mm according to the databases.
Configure your forged wheels for the Aston Martin Vantage (AM6)
The Onyx Forged design office works out the measurements of your car from its exact version, stated on the registration document, and shows them to you before machining. Each set is cut from forged 6061-T6 aluminium, machined on a 5-axis CNC centre, as monoblock, two-piece or three-piece wheels; our wheels are designed to JWL/VIA standards. Prices by diameter and the lead time are given on this page, under “What Onyx can make”. Start your configuration or write to contact@onyxforgedwheels.com.
