Custom forged wheels for Ferrari Purosangue
The Purosangue is the only Ferrari with four doors and four real seats, and the one whose wheels are the largest, the most visible and the most heavily stressed. Onyx Forged has them forged from 6061-T6 aluminium and 5-axis CNC machined, around your calipers and the measurements established for the car. Large diameters, a staggered fitment, a second winter set planned from the outset.
Ferrari Purosangue: original wheels, brakes and weight
The figures below come from Ferrari's documents and from the sources listed below, read on 20 October 2026. They are the standard measurements of the versions named, not a recommendation: before any design, we work out the measurements of your car.

22 inches at the front, 23 inches at the rear: the Purosangue is one of the few cars whose two axles do not have the same wheel diameter.

Neither SUV nor saloon: a four-seater with a naturally aspirated V12
Ferrari rejects the word SUV for the Purosangue, and as far as the wheels are concerned, this is more than a pose. The car gets a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 in a front-mid position, all-wheel drive, four doors, two of them rear-hinged, and a ride height that stays low for its category. So it is not a raised off-roader on wide tyres, but a heavy, long and fast car that asks its wheels for both stiffness in the wheel centre and restraint in mass — two requirements that contradict each other, and that only the design can reconcile.
Very large diameters, and why forging is a must
The Purosangue comes with very large-diameter wheels as original equipment, larger at the rear than at the front. At this scale, a cast wheel makes up for the thin sidewall by adding material: it grows bulkier and heavier, precisely where that costs the most. High-pressure forging of a 6061-T6 billet realigns the grain of the metal in the direction of the stresses and eliminates the porosity of casting. For the same permissible load, the wheel is lighter. On a car of this weight, this is not a performance refinement: it is what makes the large diameter reasonable.
Active suspension that expects a lot from the wheels
The Purosangue is fitted with active suspension that controls body movement wheel by wheel, with an authority no passive damper has. It works all the better when the mass it has to control below the springs is low: every kilogram taken off the wheel is a kilogram the system no longer has to correct. This is the case in which weight saving is felt most clearly in everyday use — less shudder on broken surfaces, a front end that stays settled over motorway expansion joints. Add to this the usual constraints of the top end of the market: caliper clearance, and pressure sensors refitted exactly as before.
A second set for winter, planned from the start
A Purosangue is driven all year round, and some of its owners fit a winter set. It makes sense to deal with this at the project stage rather than a year later: a second set, usually of a smaller diameter to regain sidewall, designed in the same family as the main set so that the car stays coherent in January. The two sets then share the same survey of the car, the same measurements and the same clearance logic, which avoids the nasty surprise of a winter set bought from a catalogue that fouls a caliper. The winter finish is also chosen differently: salt is unforgiving to any light-coloured lacquer.
Configure your Ferrari Purosangue wheels
Monoblock for lightness, two-piece or three-piece for barrel depth and the widths a monoblock cannot reach: the construction is decided after the survey of the car, together with you. Our wheels are designed to JWL/VIA standards and 5-axis CNC machined. Price and lead time each have their own page: custom forged wheel prices and lead time. An inspiration photo is enough to get started: the configurator turns it into a render applied to your Purosangue. Start your configuration or write to contact@onyxforgedwheels.com.
