The 2 generations of the Tesla Model 3 compared

One row per published generation, from the oldest to the most recent. Each measurement comes from the generation's page, which cites its sources and gives the fitment of each version. These measurements help you recognise your car; they are not a recommendation, and Onyx does not advise any specific offset.

Onyx entry price: the set of four monoblock forged wheels in the smallest diameter of our price list that covers the smallest original diameter recorded; the other diameters and the two-piece construction are on each generation's page. Amounts in pounds: our checkout on 4 October 2026, before the carrier's clearance fee and any import duty. The amount shown at checkout is the one charged for your order.

Publication rule: a measurement is shown only if a primary source gives it (a manufacturer's document, an official vehicle type record, an original parts catalogue, the maker of the original wheel) without another primary source contradicting it, or if two independent specialist sources agree without a primary source contradicting them. The press and forums do not count. Measurements checked on 15 October 2026.

The facelifted Model 3, measurement by measurement

Our measurements cover two generations, each on its own page: the 2017 to 2023 Model 3 and the facelifted Model 3, known as the Highland, the one for model years 2024 onwards in Tesla's manuals. Both use 5x114.3, on a 64.1 mm hub, with an M14 x 1.5 thread, according to specialist sources that agree; Tesla fixes them with wheel nuts tightened to 175 Nm and delivers them on 18, 19 or 20 inches.

What changes from one Model 3 to the other

From one fitment to another, the diameter changes. On the 2017 to 2023 Model 3, the 18, 19 and 20-inch wheels are all 8.5J, with an offset of 40 (35 for the 20-inch wheel with Performance brakes). On the facelifted Model 3, the width also changes on the staggered fitments: 8.5J on all four wheels in 18 and 19 inches, with an offset of 38, but 9J at the front and 10J at the rear on the staggered fitments, in 19 as well as 20 inches. The facelifted Model 3 Standard gets an 18-inch steel wheel that Tesla reserves for this version, and no pressure sensors in its wheels. That is why we start from the exact version of your car, never from the model name alone.
