Model 3 and Model Y: same PCD, same centre bore
The facelifted Model 3 (Highland) and both generations of the Model Y share the same PCD (bolt pattern), 5x114.3, the same centre bore, 64.1 mm, and the same thread, M14 x 1.5: specialist sources that agree give these figures, each cited on the car's page. All of them are fixed with wheel nuts tightened to 175 Nm, according to Tesla's workshop manuals. The seat of the nuts, 60° conical on the Model Y, has not yet been published for the Highland: we check it for your car. What mainly separates them is the fitments: the Model 3 Highland runs on 18, 19 or 20 inches, the Model Y on 19, 20 or 21 inches, plus an 18-inch steel wheel reserved for the facelifted Model Y Standard; in both cases, some fitments are staggered, wider at the rear than at the front.
What we record before machining
- The generation and the version, from the registration document: a 2024 Model Y and a Model Y Juniper do not share all their workshop documents.
- The original fitments, diameter, width and original offset, axle by axle.
- The pressure sensors: a Standard version has none in its wheels, the others do, and the wheel must take the sensor at the valve position.
- The load per wheel: on the five-seat facelifted Model Y, Tesla requires at least 104 XL tyres in 19 inches, i.e. 900 kg per tyre.
The steel wheels of the Standard versions
The Model 3 and Model Y Standard get an 18-inch steel wheel. Tesla reserves it for these versions and warns that it can damage the suspension of a Premium or a Performance: a wheel from one version is not carried over to another without checking.
Sourced measurements, generation by generation
Each generation page gives the hub, the original fitments by diameter and their original offsets (manufacturer), with the source of each measurement and the date it was checked. We only publish a measurement if a Tesla document gives it, or if two independent specialist sources agree.
Frequently asked questions about Tesla wheels
What is the PCD of a Tesla Model 3 or Model Y?
5x114.3 on the facelifted Model 3 (Highland) and on both generations of the Model Y, with a 64.1 mm centre bore and an M14 x 1.5 thread, according to specialist sources that agree, cited on each page. The 5x114.3 PCD page brings these cars together.
Which wheel size for a Tesla Model 3 or Model Y?
The Model 3 Highland runs on 18, 19 or 20 inches as original equipment, the first-generation Model Y on 19, 20 or 21 inches, and the Model Y Juniper on 18 to 21 inches, the 18-inch being the steel wheel of the Standard version. Tesla does not publish which trim gets which diameter: the original fitments, with their widths and original offsets, are on the page for the Model 3 Highland, the Model Y Juniper and the 2020-2024 Model Y.
What is the wheel tightening torque on a Tesla?
175 Nm on the wheel nuts of the facelifted Model 3 and of both generations of the Model Y, according to the Tesla manuals cited on the pages. The wheel nuts and tightening torque (page in French) guide explains the types of fixing.
Does a Tesla have pressure sensors in its wheels?
It depends on the version: the Model 3 and Model Y Standard have none in their wheels (Tesla fits them with indirect monitoring, iTPMS, and publishes a procedure for fitting sensors to them), the others do. The wheel must then take the sensor at the valve position. The TPMS sensors and forged wheels (page in French) guide explains the choice.
Do forged wheels for a Tesla have an approval of their own, and do they pass the roadworthiness test?
No: made one set at a time, Onyx wheels have no individual approval of their own, and we say so before the order. They are designed to JWL/VIA standards. The French roadworthiness test (contrôle technique) examines the wheel without removing it (cracks, deformation, a wheel that sticks out beyond the bodywork) and checks that the tyre size is provided for by the manufacturer or accepted as equivalent; it neither validates nor rejects a modification, which is a matter for vehicle approval (réception) and the registration document. The details, country by country, are on the roadworthiness test and registration document page.

PCD, centre bore, thread, diameters and original offsets: the Tesla cars we cover
One row per generation. Each value is taken from the car's page, which cites the source of each measurement, its fitments version by version and their original offsets (manufacturer). When a PCD has its own page, it leads there: that page lists every car that shares it.

“—”: measurement not published for lack of a sufficient source. The diameters and offsets are those of the original fitments, all versions together: the car's page gives the fitment of each version. These measurements help you recognise your car; they are not a recommendation, and Onyx does not advise any specific offset.
Onyx entry price: the set of four monoblock forged wheels in the smallest diameter of our price list that covers the smallest original diameter recorded; the other diameters and the two-piece construction are on each generation's page. Amounts in pounds: our checkout on 4 October 2026, before the carrier's clearance fee and any import duty. The amount shown at checkout is the one charged for your order.
Publication rule: a measurement is shown only if a primary source gives it (a manufacturer's document, an official vehicle type record, an original parts catalogue, the maker of the original wheel) without another primary source contradicting it, or if two independent specialist sources agree without a primary source contradicting them. The press and forums do not count. Measurements checked on 15 October 2026.
