Original fitment measurements: Tesla Model S second series
The measurements of the car as delivered new, to identify yours and compare. Each value refers, by a number, to the sources that give it. They are not a recommendation: Onyx does not advise any specific offset.

Frequently asked questions: wheels for the Tesla Model S second series
What are the original fitments for a Tesla Model S since 2021?
Tesla's owner's manual for the Model S since 2021 gives two staggered wheel sets: in 19 inches, 9.5J with an offset of 40 at the front and 10.5J with an offset of 45 at the rear; in 21 inches, the same widths and the same offsets. [6]
Which tyres does a Model S since 2021 take?
255/45 R19 at the front and 285/40 R19 at the rear on the 19-inch summer fitment; 265/35 R21 at the front and 295/30 R21 at the rear on the 21-inch summer fitment, according to the owner's manual, and the workshop manual gives the same sizes in its replacement tyre table. [6, 8]
Does the Model S since 2021 have the same wheels as the 2012 to 2020 car?
No: the 19-inch wheels go from 8J to 9.5J at the front and 10.5J at the rear, with an offset of 40 at the front and 45 at the rear instead of 40 on both axles, according to the two editions of the owner's manual. The PCD, 5x120, does not change: SCC and wheelfitment.eu give it. [2, 3, 6, 9]
Same fixing measurements
As original equipment, these cars have the same PCD, centre bore, thread and fixing as the Tesla Model S second series: PCD 5x120, centre bore 64.1 mm, thread M14 x 1.5, fixing: wheel nuts.
- Honda Civic Type R (FK8) (2017–2021)
- Honda Civic Type R (FL5) (since 2022)
- Tesla Model X second series (since 2021)
- Tesla Model X first series (2015–2020)
Same fixing measurements; original diameters and offsets: see each car's page. The seat of the bolts or nuts, the width of the wheels and brake clearance are not compared here: this comparison is not an opinion on compatibility.

Publication rule: a measurement is shown only if a primary source gives it (a manufacturer's document, an official vehicle type record, an original parts catalogue, the maker of the original wheel) without another primary source contradicting it, or if two independent specialist sources agree without a primary source contradicting them. The press and forums do not count. Measurements checked on 15 October 2026 by the Onyx Forged design office.

Model S since 2021: the same hub, different wheels
The Tesla Model S since 2021 uses 5x120, on a 64.1 mm hub, with M14 x 1.5 wheel nuts: several independent specialist sources give the PCD (bolt pattern) and the centre bore, each cited in the table. Tesla fixes the wheels with nuts tightened to 175 Nm. The seat of the nuts is given by only one source: it is not published here.
Staggered wheels, wider at the rear
Tesla's owner's manual for the Model S since 2021 gives two staggered wheel sets. In 19 inches: 9.5J with an offset of 40 at the front, 10.5J with an offset of 45 at the rear, with 255/45 R19 and 285/40 R19 tyres. In 21 inches: the same widths and the same offsets, with 265/35 R21 tyres at the front and 295/30 R21 at the rear. On a staggered fitment, a front wheel and a rear wheel cannot be swapped.
Only one primary source for width and offset
Tesla's workshop manual for this period confirms the nut torque and the tyres, but gives neither the width nor the offset of the wheels: these two measurements rest only on the owner's manual, whose cover is marked “2021+”. The original fitment depends on the market.
And the 2012 to 2020 Model S?
The pre-2021 Model S has its own page, Model S from 2012 to 2020: its 19-inch wheels are 8J, with an offset of 40 on both axles.
What we record before machining
- The exact version, stated on the registration document, and the current diameter of your wheels.
- The braking system, on which the smallest possible diameter depends.
- The current fitment, axle by axle, and the hub's 64.1 mm centre bore.
Configure your forged wheels for the Tesla Model S (since 2021)
