Original fitment measurements: Tesla Model X second series
The measurements of the car as delivered new, to identify yours and compare. Each value refers, by a number, to the sources that give it. They are not a recommendation: Onyx does not advise any specific offset.

Frequently asked questions: wheels for the Tesla Model X second series
What are the original fitments for a Tesla Model X since 2021?
Tesla's owner's manual for the Model X since 2021 gives, in 20 inches as well as in 22 inches, 9J with an offset of 40 at the front and 10J with an offset of 35 at the rear. [6]
Which tyres does a Model X since 2021 take?
265/45 R20 at the front and 275/45 R20 at the rear for the 20-inch summer tyres; 265/35 R22 at the front and 285/35 R22 at the rear for the 22-inch all-season tyres, according to the owner's manual, and the workshop manual gives the same sizes in its replacement tyre table. [6, 8]
Does the Model X since 2021 have the same wheels as the 2015 to 2020 car?
Almost: the width of 9J at the front and 10J at the rear does not change, but the front offset goes from 35 to 40. The PCD, 5x120, does not change: SCC and wheelfitment.eu give it. [2, 3, 6, 9]
Same fixing measurements
As original equipment, these cars have the same PCD, centre bore, thread and fixing as the Tesla Model X second series: PCD 5x120, centre bore 64.1 mm, thread M14 x 1.5, fixing: wheel nuts.
- Honda Civic Type R (FK8) (2017–2021)
- Honda Civic Type R (FL5) (since 2022)
- Tesla Model S second series (since 2021)
- Tesla Model S first series (2012–2020)
Same fixing measurements; original diameters and offsets: see each car's page. The seat of the bolts or nuts, the width of the wheels and brake clearance are not compared here: this comparison is not an opinion on compatibility.

Publication rule: a measurement is shown only if a primary source gives it (a manufacturer's document, an official vehicle type record, an original parts catalogue, the maker of the original wheel) without another primary source contradicting it, or if two independent specialist sources agree without a primary source contradicting them. The press and forums do not count. Measurements checked on 15 October 2026 by the Onyx Forged design office.

Model X since 2021: the same hub, a front offset that changes
The Tesla Model X since 2021 uses 5x120, on a 64.1 mm hub, with M14 x 1.5 wheel nuts: several independent specialist sources give the PCD (bolt pattern) and the centre bore, each cited in the table. Tesla fixes the wheels with nuts tightened to 175 Nm. The seat of the nuts is given by only one source: it is not published here.
Staggered wheels, in 20 and 22 inches
Tesla's owner's manual for the Model X since 2021 gives, in 20 inches as well as in 22 inches, 9J with an offset of 40 at the front and 10J with an offset of 35 at the rear. The tyres are 265/45 R20 and 275/45 R20 for the 20-inch summer tyres, 265/35 R22 and 285/35 R22 for the 22-inch all-season tyres. On a staggered fitment, a front wheel and a rear wheel cannot be swapped.
Only one primary source for width and offset
Tesla's workshop manual for this period confirms the nut torque and the tyres, but gives neither the width nor the offset of the wheels: these two measurements rest only on the owner's manual, whose cover is marked “2021+”. The original fitment depends on the market.
And the 2015 to 2020 Model X?
The pre-2021 Model X has its own page, Model X from 2015 to 2020: its front offset is 35.
What we record before machining
- The exact version, stated on the registration document, and the current diameter of your wheels.
- The braking system, on which the smallest possible diameter depends.
- The current fitment, axle by axle, and the hub's 64.1 mm centre bore.
Configure your forged wheels for the Tesla Model X (since 2021)
