The 2 generations of the Tesla Model Y compared

One row per published generation, from the oldest to the most recent. Each measurement comes from the generation's page, which cites its sources and gives the fitment of each version. These measurements help you recognise your car; they are not a recommendation, and Onyx does not advise any specific offset.

Onyx entry price: the set of four monoblock forged wheels in the smallest diameter of our price list that covers the smallest original diameter recorded; the other diameters and the two-piece construction are on each generation's page. Amounts in pounds: our checkout on 4 October 2026, before the carrier's clearance fee and any import duty. The amount shown at checkout is the one charged for your order.

Publication rule: a measurement is shown only if a primary source gives it (a manufacturer's document, an official vehicle type record, an original parts catalogue, the maker of the original wheel) without another primary source contradicting it, or if two independent specialist sources agree without a primary source contradicting them. The press and forums do not count. Measurements checked on 10 October 2026.

Two generations, one hub

Whether your Model Y is from the first generation (model years 2020 to 2024) or facelifted (Juniper, from 2025), it uses 5x114.3, on a 64.1 mm hub, and M14 x 1.5 nuts with a 60° conical seat: specialist sources that agree give these figures. The torque, 175 Nm, is the one in Tesla's workshop manuals. The original fitments, however, are read generation by generation: 19, 20 or 21 inches, the 21-inch being staggered, wider at the rear, and on the Juniper an 18-inch steel wheel reserved for the Model Y Standard.

Why the generation still matters

The Juniper added a Model Y Standard, whose 18-inch steel wheel must not be fitted to the other versions according to Tesla, and whose wheels have no pressure sensors. On the first generation, Tesla describes the switch to Bluetooth sensors. These details decide the valve, the sensor and the load the wheel must carry: we establish them for your car before machining.
