The fitments permitted by the Swiss record
The vehicle type record of the Swiss Federal Roads Office (ASTRA), the document that sets the tyre and wheel combinations a car may carry, permits for the RS5 two summer fitments, the same on both axles: 9J x 19 with an offset of 24 and 265/35 R19 tyres, or 9J x 20 with an offset of 26 and 275/30 R20 tyres. For winter, it permits a narrower wheel, 8J x 19 with an offset of 26, on 235/40 R19 tyres. The coupé and the convertible have the same combinations; only the permissible load per axle changes. The records we read date from 2013 and 2015: for an older RS5, the Onyx Forged design office establishes the fitment from its registration document or its VIN.
