The Swiss vehicle type records of the RS 5 (type F5) permit, on both axles, a 9J x 19 wheel with an offset of 24, and a 9J x 20 wheel with an offset of 26. From 2019, the 9J x 20 wheel is also permitted with an offset of 22, and the RS 5 Competition has its own combination in 9J x 20 with an offset of 22.^{[6, 11, 13, 15]}

Which tyres, and which load index, does an Audi RS5 B9 take?

The Audi Original Zubehör shop sells complete winter wheels: 8J x 19 with an offset of 26 and 235/40 R19 tyres, and 9J x 20 with 275/30 R20 tyres, with an offset of 26 for the 2018 and 2019 RS 5s, and of 22 for those from 2020 to 2025. The bolts are not supplied: Audi asks for the standard bolts to be reused.^{[1, 2, 3]}

What is the load per wheel on an Audi RS5 B9?

The Swiss vehicle type record of the 2022 RS 5 Sportback gives it a permissible load of 1,240 kg on the front axle, i.e. 620 kg per front wheel. The 265/35 R19 tyre with load index 98 in the same record carries 750 kg.^{[12, 17]}

What PCD, centre bore and bolts does an Audi RS5 B9 use?

The PCD is 5x112, the centre bore 66.5 mm, and the wheels are held by M14 x 1.5 bolts: SCC and wheelfitment.eu give these measurements, and Audi confirms the PCD on the product pages for its complete wheels. The tightening torque is not published: the databases do not give the same value, and no Audi document we have read gives it.^{[2, 4, 5]}

RS5 B9: 5x112, a 66.5 mm hub, M14 x 1.5 bolts

The B9-generation Audi RS5 (type F5), Coupé and Sportback, produced from 2017 to 2025, is 5x112 on a 66.5 mm hub, with M14 x 1.5 wheel bolts: SCC and wheelfitment.eu give these measurements, and Audi confirms the PCD (bolt pattern) on the product pages for its complete wheels. The tightening torque is not published: the two databases do not give the same value, and no Audi document we have read gives it.

The permitted fitments, from 2017 to 2022

The RS5's Swiss vehicle type records permit, the same on both axles, a 9J x 19 wheel with an offset of 24, on 265/35 R19 tyres, and a 9J x 20 wheel on 275/30 R20 tyres. The offset of the 20-inch wheel depends on the record: 26 only in 2017, then 22 or 26 from 2019. The RS5 Competition has one more combination, with 275/30 ZR20 tyres on a 9J x 20 wheel with an offset of 22. Two RS5s of the same year can therefore run on 20-inch wheels with different offsets: the wheel actually fitted is what tells you.

Audi winter wheels

For winter, Audi sells complete wheels: 8J x 19 with an offset of 26 and 235/40 R19 tyres, or 9J x 20 with 275/30 R20 tyres, with an offset of 26 on the 2018 and 2019 RS5s, and of 22 on those from 2020 to 2025. Audi supplies them without bolts and asks for the standard bolts to be reused. A second set of wheels for winter (page in French) can be designed on these measurements.

What these measurements say about a forged wheel

The offset positions the wheel in the wheel arch: a wider wheel, or a lower offset, brings it closer to the wing.
