What are the original offsets for the wheels of the Mercedes-AMG A 35 (W177)?
The Mercedes original parts catalogue gives the A 35 a 19-inch AMG wheel in 8J ET 40, with 235/35 R19 tyres on both axles. The 18-inch complete winter wheels offered by Mercedes-Benz are 8J ET 40, with 235/40 R18 tyres. [5, 6]
Do the A 35 and the A 45 have the same wheels?
No. The catalogue gives the A 45 a 19-inch AMG wheel that is wider and sits further inboard than the A 35's: 8.5J ET 46 on 245/35 R19 tyres, compared with 8J ET 40 on 235/35 R19 tyres. [5, 7]
Which wheel bolts does a Mercedes A-Class W177 use?
M14 x 1.5 wheel bolts, according to SCC and wheelfitment.eu. The tightening torque is not published here: these two databases do not give the same value. [2, 3]

A 35 and A 45: the hub of the A-Class W177
The W177 Mercedes A-Class, in its AMG A 35 and A 45 versions, uses 5x112, on a 66.6 mm hub, with M14 x 1.5 wheel bolts: three independent specialist sources give the PCD (bolt pattern) and the centre bore, two give the thread, each cited in the table. The tightening torque is not published: SCC and wheelfitment.eu do not give the same value, and no Mercedes document we have read settles it; keep to the one in your car's manual. The bolt seat is given by only one source: it is not published here.
The AMG fitments, on both axles
The Mercedes-AMG original parts catalogue, as sold by the dealer Kunzmann among others, gives the same size at the front and at the rear. For the A 35: 8J ET 40 in 19 inches, with 235/35 R19 tyres, a wheel that Kunzmann says is reserved for the A 35. For the A 45: 8.5J ET 46 in 19 inches, with 245/35 R19 tyres, both as a five-spoke wheel and as a forged cross-spoke wheel, the latter reserved for the A 45 according to the same catalogue. The A 45 wheel is therefore half an inch wider and sits six millimetres further inboard than the A 35's: Kunzmann reserves each one for its own version.
Complete winter wheels
The Mercedes-Benz price list of May 2023 offers 18-inch complete winter wheels: 8J ET 40 with 235/40 R18 tyres for the A 35, 8.5J ET 46 with 245/40 R18 tyres for the A 45 S.
What the catalogue does not say
The catalogue gives the fitments that Mercedes-AMG offers for each version; it does not say which ones are fitted when the car is built, and this page does not claim to. Two 18-inch AMG wheels have an offset given to the half-millimetre, whereas our pages only record offsets in whole millimetres: they are not in the table.
