What is the original offset of the 19-inch wheels on a Golf 7 R?
Volkswagen gives 8J x 19 with an offset of 50 and 235/35 R19 tyres: this is the fitment of the Spielberg and Pretoria wheels of the Golf R. The offset of the standard 18-inch Cadiz wheels is not published here. [9, 10, 13]
Does the Golf 7 GTI have the same wheels as the Golf R?
No. In 19 inches, the GTI gets the Santiago wheel in 7.5J with an offset of 51 and 225/35 R19 tyres, while the Golf R gets 8J with an offset of 50 and 235/35 R19 tyres. [9, 10, 17, 18]
Which bolts are used for the wheels of a Golf 7 GTI or R?
M14 x 1.5 wheel bolts, according to SCC and wheelfitment.eu. The tightening torque is not published here: the pages of Volkswagen's accessories shop do not agree with one another, and a specialist database gives yet another value. [2, 6, 7]
Is there an original winter wheel for the Golf 7 GTI and the Golf R?

Golf 7 GTI and R: 5x112 on a 57.1 mm hub
The Volkswagen Golf 7 GTI and R is 5x112, on a 57.1 mm hub, with M14 x 1.5 wheel bolts: several independent specialist sources give these measurements, each cited in the table. The tightening torque is not published: the pages of Volkswagen's accessories shop do not agree with one another, and a specialist database gives yet another value; stick to the one in your car's manual. The bolt seat is given by only one source: it is not published here.
Golf R: 19 inches in 8J, an offset of 50
According to Volkswagen AG's price list for the 2020 model year, the Golf R gets the 18-inch Cadiz wheel in 7.5J as standard, with 225/40 R18 tyres. In 19 inches, it gets 8J with 235/35 R19 tyres: the Spielberg wheel with the R-Performance package, or the Pretoria as an option. Volkswagen AG's letter on the part number of each of the two gives an offset of 50. The offset of the Cadiz is not published here: no letter we have read can be reliably linked to it.
GTI: from 17 to 19 inches, an offset of 51 in 19 inches
The price list for the GTI “Performance” for the 2020 model year gives 7.5J: the Brooklyn in 17 inches with 225/45 R17 tyres, as standard, the Sevilla in 18 inches with 225/40 R18 tyres, and the Santiago in 19 inches with 225/35 R19 tyres. Volkswagen AG's letter on the Santiago gives an offset of 51. The offsets of the Brooklyn and the Sevilla are not published.
Where these offsets come from
The offsets of the Golf R and the GTI come from Volkswagen AG letters on the part number of each wheel (offset, size and load), which we read on original-felgen.com, the website that hosts them: we have not been able to have them confirmed by Volkswagen. None of these letters names the Golf: Volkswagen AG's price list links each wheel to its version, and the pages of two specialist dealers link the part number to the wheel's name. An offset is only published if a second independent source agrees.
GTI TCR: the forged Belvedere wheel
The GTI TCR gets the forged Belvedere wheel in 7.5J x 18 as standard, with 225/40 R18 tyres, according to Volkswagen AG's price list. Its offset is not published: the Volkswagen AG letter concerning it and the page that names it come from the same website, with no second independent source. Among the options, the 19-inch Pretoria is in 8J with 235/35 R19 tyres; its offset is not published either, as the letter we read is the one for the grey Pretoria of the Golf R, whereas the GTI TCR's list gives it in black.
Winter wheels and accessory wheels
Volkswagen Original Zubehör offers, for the GTI and the R, the 18-inch Pretoria complete winter wheel in 7.5J ET 51, with 225/40 R18 tyres, and the 18-inch Huntsville wheel, also in 7.5J ET 51. These are genuine accessories, which the table marks as such.
