According to the Swiss vehicle type records, the Leon has an offset of 49 on its 8J x 19 wheel and of 46 on its 7.5J x 18 and 7.5J x 17 wheels, on both axles, on the 5-door and the Sportstourer alike.^{[7, 10, 14]}

Which tyres, and which load index, does a Cupra Leon take?

235/35 R19 with load index 91, i.e. 615 kg per tyre, in 19 inches; 225/40 R18 with load index 92, i.e. 630 kg, in 18 inches; 225/45 R17 with load index 91 in 17 inches on the 140 kW version. These are the combinations in the Swiss vehicle type records.^{[7, 14, 16]}

What is the load per wheel on a 228 kW Cupra Leon Sportstourer?

Its Swiss vehicle type record gives it a permissible load of 1,100 kg on the rear axle, i.e. 550 kg per rear wheel, and of 1,090 kg on the front axle. The 235/35 R19 tyre with load index 91 in the same record carries 615 kg.^{[10, 16]}

Leon KL: 5x112, a 57.1 mm hub, M14 x 1.5 bolts

The Cupra Leon (type KL), 5-door and Sportstourer, produced since 2020, uses 5x112 on a 57.1 mm hub, with M14 x 1.5 wheel bolts: SCC, wheelfitment.eu, hubcentric-rings.com and koleso.ee give these measurements. The CUPRA owner's manual sets the tightening torque of the bolts at 140 Nm. The bolt seat is given by only one source: it is not published here.

The permitted fitments, in 17, 18 and 19 inches

The Swiss vehicle type records for the Leon, from 2021 and 2022, permit on both axles an 8J x 19 wheel with an offset of 49, fitted with 235/35 R19 tyres, on the 2.0 TSI from 180 to 228 kW and on the e-Hybrid, and a 7.5J x 18 wheel with an offset of 46, fitted with 225/40 R18 tyres. The 140 kW version also runs on 7.5J x 17, with the same offset of 46 and 225/45 R17 tyres. On the 228 kW Sportstourer and on the e-Hybrid, the 18-inch wheel is only permitted with winter tyres.

What these measurements say about a forged wheel

The offset positions the wheel in the wheel arch: a wider wheel, or a lower offset, brings it closer to the wing. Leon and Formentor

The Cupra Formentor shares the PCD (bolt pattern), centre bore and bolts of the Leon, not its offsets: a wheel from one is not fitted blindly to the other. For a facelifted Leon, the records we have read say nothing: the Onyx Forged design office establishes the fitment from its registration document or its VIN.
