Frequently asked questions: wheels for the Audi e-tron GT F83
What are the original offsets for the wheels of an Audi e-tron GT?
A staggered fitment, according to its Swiss vehicle type records: in 20 inches, 9J with an offset of 54 at the front and 11J with an offset of 60 at the rear; in 21 inches, 9.5J with an offset of 60 and 11.5J with an offset of 66. The e-tron GT quattro also takes a 19-inch fitment, 8J with an offset of 50 and 10J with an offset of 47, which the RS e-tron GT's records do not permit. [10, 12, 14]
Which tyres, and which load index, does an Audi e-tron GT take?
In 20 inches, 245/45 R20 with load index 103 at the front, i.e. 875 kg per tyre, and 285/40 R20 with load index 108 at the rear, i.e. 1000 kg; in 21 inches, 265/35 R21 with load index 101 and 305/30 R21 with load index 104, i.e. 825 and 900 kg; in 19 inches, 225/55 R19 with load index 103 and 275/45 R19 with load index 108. These are the combinations in its Swiss vehicle type records. [10, 14, 16]
What is the load per wheel on an Audi e-tron GT?
The Swiss vehicle type record of the e-tron GT quattro gives it a permissible load of 1,395 kg on the front axle and 1,540 kg on the rear axle, i.e. 697.5 and 770 kg per wheel; that of the RS e-tron GT, 1,385 and 1,545 kg, i.e. 772.5 kg per rear wheel, for a kerb weight of 2,420 to 2,485 kg. The 305/30 R21 rear tyre with load index 104 carries 900 kg. [10, 14, 16]
Which winter wheels does an Audi e-tron GT take?
Its Swiss vehicle type records permit winter tyres on the 20-inch wheels, 245/45 R20 on 9J x 20 with an offset of 54 at the front and 285/40 R20 on 11J x 20 with an offset of 60 at the rear, and, on the e-tron GT quattro, on the 19-inch wheels, 225/55 R19 and 275/45 R19. No winter combination is permitted there in 21 inches. [10, 12, 14]
What PCD, centre bore and bolts does an Audi e-tron GT use?
The PCD is 5x130, the centre bore 71.6 mm, and the wheels are held by M14 x 1.5 bolts with a spherical seat: SCC, wheelfitment.eu, koleso.ee and the German operating permit (Allgemeine Betriebserlaubnis) for a Gewe wheel that names the e-tron GT and the RS e-tron GT give these measurements, and Audi's genuine accessories shop gives the 130/5 PCD of its wheels. These databases give a tightening torque of 160 Nm; no Audi document we have read confirms it, so it is not published in the table. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9]
Which brakes does an Audi e-tron GT have?
According to Audi, in 2021, the e-tron GT quattro brakes at the front on 360 mm steel discs with six-piston calipers, and the RS e-tron GT on 410 mm tungsten carbide-coated discs; the carbon-ceramic discs, optional on both, measure 420 mm at the front, with ten-piston calipers. Audi fits wheels of at least 19 inches on the e-tron GT quattro and at least 20 inches on the RS. [17, 18]
Do Audi's 20-inch winter wheels fit a facelifted e-tron GT?
The Audi Original Zubehör shop sells a 9J x 20 front wheel with an offset of 54 and an 11J x 20 rear wheel with an offset of 60, for 245/45 R20 and 285/40 R20 winter tyres, compatible with the e-tron GT and the RS e-tron GT, and with the S e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT sold since 2025: these are the 20-inch measurements that the 2021 and 2022 Swiss vehicle type records permit. Audi's 2026 technical data keep 245/45 R20 and 285/40 R20 tyres on 9J and 11J x 20 wheels as the base fitment. [1, 2, 14, 19, 20]

Custom forged wheels for the Audi e-tron GT F83
- Forged 6061-T6 aluminium
- 5-axis CNC machining
- Designed to JWL/VIA standards
- Fitment worked out for your Audi e-tron GT F83
e-tron GT: 5x130, a 71.6 mm hub, M14 x 1.5 bolts
The Audi e-tron GT quattro and the RS e-tron GT, two-motor electric cars for which Audi opened pre-sales in February 2021 and which were facelifted in 2024, are 5x130 on a 71.6 mm hub, with M14 x 1.5 wheel bolts that have a spherical seat: SCC, wheelfitment.eu, koleso.ee and the German operating permit for a Gewe wheel that names both cars give these measurements, each cited in the table; Audi's accessories shop gives the PCD (bolt pattern) of its wheels and has the standard bolts reused. These databases give a tightening torque of 160 Nm, which no Audi document we have read confirms: the table leaves it empty.
A staggered fitment, from 19 to 21 inches
The vehicle type record of the Swiss Federal Roads Office (ASTRA), the document that sets the tyre and wheel combinations a car may carry, permits a staggered fitment: in 20 inches, 9J with an offset of 54 at the front (245/45 R20) and 11J with an offset of 60 at the rear (285/40 R20); in 21 inches, 9.5J with an offset of 60 and 11.5J with an offset of 66 (265/35 R21 and 305/30 R21). The e-tron GT quattro also takes a 19-inch fitment, 8J with an offset of 50 and 10J with an offset of 47 (225/55 R19 and 275/45 R19), which the RS's records do not permit. For winter, they permit the 20-inch fitments, and the 19-inch ones on the quattro, none in 21 inches; Audi's accessories shop still sells these 20-inch winter wheels for the e-tron GT models sold since 2025.
Brakes: up to 420 mm at the front
In 2021, Audi announced, at the front, 360 mm steel discs and six-piston calipers on the e-tron GT quattro, 410 mm tungsten carbide-coated discs on the RS and, as an option on both, 420 mm carbon-ceramic discs with ten-piston calipers. Audi fits at least 19-inch wheels on the quattro and 20-inch wheels on the RS: the Onyx Forged design office starts from your calipers.
What a heavy, powerful electric car changes
The RS e-tron GT's record gives it a kerb weight of 2,420 to 2,485 kg and a permissible load of 1,545 kg on the rear axle, i.e. 772.5 kg per rear wheel; the e-tron GT quattro's, 1,540 kg, i.e. 770 kg. The 305/30 R21 rear tyre with load index 104 carries 900 kg. The torque, available from the first turn of the wheel, and the mass wear tyres faster than on a combustion car of the same power; the tyre also affects cabin noise and range. A tyre marked HL (High Load) carries more at the same size. The guide electric car tyres: wear, HL index, noise and range (page in French) explains what each choice changes, and the guide wheels for a heavy car: the load per wheel (page in French) how to read the load the wheel must carry.
What these measurements say about a forged wheel
The offset positions the wheel in the wheel arch: a wider wheel, or a lower offset, brings it closer to the wing. The Onyx Forged design office starts from the measurements on this page, your brakes and your tyres to calculate the width and offset of your wheels, then submits them to you. The offset calculator compares two fitments: it compares, it does not choose the measurement for you.
Roadworthiness test: what is examined
The French roadworthiness test (contrôle technique) examines the wheel without removing it (cracks, deformation, a wheel that protrudes beyond the bodywork) and verifies that the tyre size is one provided for by the manufacturer or accepted as equivalent. Keeping a tyre size from the original fitment, and at least its load index, avoids having to justify it; the details are on the roadworthiness test and registration document page.
What we record before machining
- The exact version, stated on the registration document, and the current diameter of your wheels.
- The braking system, on which the smallest possible diameter depends (wheels and brakes (page in French)).
- The current fitment, axle by axle, and the hub's 71.6 mm centre bore.
